VIVA GLAM! Transformations

Hello Friends!

My name is Shana K. and I am a professional hair stylist, MUA, and photographer living in NYC. Yes honey, I am a triple threat.
Watch out America!

To be honest with you I am a social network junkie. I wasn’t always addicted to social media you know. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered that social networks were great marketing tools. Since then, I have been sharing ideas, products, and advice with people from all over the world.

I enjoy connecting with total strangers who share common interests with me in fashion, hair, makeup, and photography. While some people are reluctant to communicate with strangers, I find the experience to be very therapeutic. When I’m frustrated I used to keep it all in now, I let it all out on Facebook – well not all of it : ) If I’m feeling down my friends on Twitter or WordPress are quick to send me words of compassion in an attempt to lift my spirits.

Social Networking shouldn’t be a one way street. So in that case, I make sure that I put out as much positivity as I take in. I give words of encouragement whenever I can and look forward to giving my personal opinion when it’s needed.

People ask me all the time: Do you meet people from the internet in person? To be honest, yes I have met a number of people from the internet. Most of these encounters have been for business reasons and have all been positive. Women message me for wedding and special event makeup all the time. I can only imagine the amount of money and positive life experiences I would have missed out on if I had not met these women in person.

I have been invited to photo shoots and interviews, all of which were set up via the internet. Sometimes life requires us to take risks. We, as intelligent human beings, need to know which risks to take. Life is meant to be lived and I have been very happy living mine.

Carpe Diem,
Shana K.

P.S. While I enjoy styling hair, shooting cool pictures and doing makeup, I studied English Journalism in college and writing is my true passion.
